Cancelled: Upcoming Georgia Trauma Symposium & Spring Meetings

In our efforts to minimize risk given the rapid evolution of the current outbreak of COVID-19 and growing travel restrictions enacted by several facilities, we regret we must cancel the Georgia Trauma Symposium and Spring Meetings next week at Chateau Elan. We acknowledge the importance of our ability to gather and work together but believe this is the safest course of action both for individuals and for the communities we serve.

Many of our attendees and speakers, like you, are health care professionals who are on the frontlines of caring for the public. We have a responsibility to keep not only ourselves, but also the surgeons and other professionals who attend our events healthy to the best of our ability, so they, in turn, can deliver quality care for those in need.

We apologize for the difficulty and inconvenience resulting from these changes.

Travel and Registration Fees

Hotel:
We encourage you to call the hotel and cancel your room as soon as possible. If cancelled 72 hours prior to the arrival date, there should be no penalty. The hotels have been informed of this situation as well.

Registration Fee:
We will begin processing registration reimbursements over the next week in the way that they were received— by check or credit card. You do not need to make any request; we will take care of it from this end.

We are working with all collaborating organizations— Georgia Trauma Commission, Georgia Committee for Trauma Excellence, Committee on Trauma- Georgia Chapter, and Georgia Quality Improvement Program to get you additional information about their next meetings, whether relocated, postponed or cancelled.

If you have any questions regarding the meeting cancellation, please do not hesitate to contact us.
